PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR IDEAL BODY FOR A HEALTHY FUTURE

 Physical form can also describe the quality of the person's health, many people ignore the ideal weight because they do not directly feel the disease in the body if the body has a body that is not ideal, you can say too fat or too thin. Weight can be measured by the ratio of a person's weight to their height. For example, a woman who is 5 feet (1.52 m) tall, of medium frame must weigh between 103 lbs and 115 lbs (46.72 kg to 52.16 kg) to be considered healthy.

Another example: a man who is 5 feet 8 inches (1.72 m) tall, with a large frame is considered healthy if he weighs between 144 lbs and 163 lbs (65.32 kg to 73.94 kg). Conversely, if their weight is lower than the desired weight for their height, they are considered underweight. And if, in turn, their weight is higher than the desired weight for their height, they are said to be overweight.

Body Mass Index is an indicator of excess body fat and has since replaced the height-weight chart as mentioned in the example above. This is a mathematical ratio of height to weight used to determine body composition (or body fat percentage) to assess a person's level of health risk. Calculating BMI is as follows:

BMI = Weight (in kg) or BMI = Weight (in lbs) x 700

Height (in m)2 Height (in inches)2

For example, the calculation for a person who weighs 80 kg (176 lbs) and is 1.60 m (63 inches) tall is:

BMI = 80 = 31.2 or BMI = 176 x 700 = 31.1

1602 632

People with a BMI of 25.1 to 29.9 are considered overweight, and people with a BMI of 30 or more are considered obese. So, from the example above, a person weighing 80 kg and 1.60 m tall is said to be obese. A high BMI assumes a higher percentage of body fat, which puts a person at greater risk of developing chronic and other serious illnesses.

BMI Weight Category

19 and under less weight

20-25 Normal (Healthy)

26-29 Obesity

30 and over Obesity

Weight category according to BMI

However, for someone who is used to lifting weights or the like which causes thick muscle mass, they may not necessarily be able to use this BMI, because it is their muscle mass that causes their body weight to exceed the BMI limit which can be categorized as obesity even though it is not included. obesity because what causes their weight to enter the obesity category is their increased muscle mass. This person may have a high BMI that inappropriately places them in the overweight or obese category. Likewise, a thin, low-weight individual with very little muscle and a higher percentage of fat may have a normal BMI, which is a false indication of health.

If you are overweight or obese according to the calculations shown here, you should do a weight loss program and exercise as well as maintain your diet and start losing those pounds. Remember that for every 10 pounds you weigh over your ideal weight, your risk to your health increases and for every 10 pounds you lose that brings you closer to your ideal weight, your risk to your health decreases.

Start paying attention to your body for the next 5,10,15 or 20 years to stay healthy and awake.
